A tasty preview of Burger Week Montreal 2013

Hot off the heels of last year’s successful Burger Week Montreal, the 2013 edition returns with great anticipation and finds itself satiating the appetites of burger-heads in four cities across the nation…

When was the last time you went on a full out “burger-crawl”? This year’s Burger Week, from September 1 to 7, is your chance to try different signature burgers from 30 participating restaurants around the city at a preferred price of $10-$15. These featured chef creations will be judged by you, the public, via smart phone application and the week will culminate in a giant burger bash at the scenic Beaver Lake Pavilion on Mount Royal on September 8.

“Burger Week began with the goal to create a fun interactive food festival. This year the restaurants are competing to create the best burger with cheese- it’s going to be a seriously fun and epic adventure,” says Na’eem Adam, co-founder of Burger Week Montreal, burger lover and aficionado. “This is a great opportunity for people to try new places and visit different parts of the city.”

This year’s restaurant roster will include a few newcomers such as Blackstrap BBQ, Miss Pret à Manger , Globe and Uniburger who will put their best buns forward in a bid to claim bragging rights for the city’s best burger. This year’s burger week will also feature a complimentary glass of Gnarly Head red wine paired with some select burgers, heightening the overall burger experience. The team behind the inaugural Burger Week 2012, now sees their passion and initiative delighting the burger eaters alike in Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Quebec City in 2013.

“Burger Week is a contest, a fun food tour and a discovery tool for hungry Canadians looking to discover new burger joints,” says Adam. “It’s like a week long delicious dream!”
