Lounging With Locals: Pemberton BMX Club

Last Saturday I had the chance to hangout with a really cool little community of parent’s, volunteers, and a bunch of kids (adults included) lapping the Pemberton BMX track. A super fun track that celebrated it’s grand-opening on Canada Day, the Pemby BMX track is in the running to win $25,000 in funding from TSN and Kraft Canada to take the track to the next level.

Jessica Turner, president of the Pemberton BMX club says “The track is pretty awesome, it’s a huge community gathering place for Pemberton – it’s kind of like our rink or pool….it’s pretty awesome for our little town of Pemberton.”

So here’s the deal: It’s Pemberton vs. Invermere and whatever town get’s the most votes wins the 25G’s, a TSN live broadcast, and a community BBQ. How awesome is that?!

So, on July 11 (TOMORROW!) go to www.kraftcelebrationtour.ca and vote for Pemberton. Vote as many times as you want and help make Pemby a little more awesome than it already is.
