THIS WEEKEND: Lovecoast ‘Chasing Tides’ CD Release Shows in Vancouver and Squamish

One of Squamish’s favourite musical acts Lovecoast is celebrating the release of their much-awaited debut album Chasing Tides with back-to-back release parties tonight and tomorrow in Vancouver and Squamish. The shows kick off their Western Canada Tour of upcoming shows in cities including Victoria, Edmonton and Calgary.

It was in June of 2013 when Squamish locals Scott Verbeek and Danielle Sweeney formed the band that draws influence such artists as Ella Fitzgerald, Otis Redding, Sara Bareilles and Hey Ocean!.

Chasing Tides was produced in Vancouver’s Monarch Studios by Juno Nominated producer Tom Dobrzanski of The Zolas (Hey Ocean!, Shad, We Are The City, Said The Whale).

“Working with Lovecoast was one of the smoothest sessions I’ve been a part of,” said Dobrzanski. “Everybody was a total pro on their instrument, and Danielle has a one of a kind voice. I look forward to watching all of their success, and can’t wait until we get to work together again.”

The band plays in Squamish tomorrow night at Howe Sound Brew Pub at 10pm.
