Free Ballroom Dancing in Robson Square

Last week, when I wrote my post on 10 Free Things to Do in Vancouver This August, I got lots of great comments adding more “summer freebies” (as Remy calls them) to my list. There was one in particular I just had to write about (I know what I’ll be doing on my next “date night”): Free ballroom dancing in Robson Square.

Organized by DanceSportBC, this free dance series happens Friday nights in August and includes a ballroom dance lesson at 8pm, show dances at 9pm and 10pm, and a chance to dance the night away under the iconic dome at Robson Square, the heart of downtown Vancouver. It’s all free, and all skill levels are welcome; you don’t have to have any prior ballroom dance experience to participate!

There are only three free ballroom dance nights left in August: Waltz on August 12, West Coast Swing on August 19, and Samba on August 26. Take advantage!
