If you’ve been itching to get into a pair of ski or snow boots and blast yourself down the mountain, the long wait is over. Grouse Mountain is officially launching their 88th winter season this Saturday, November 15th at 9:00am.
“But, it hasn’t snowed!?” you may be asking yourself… Well, Grouse Mountain is the proudly armed with the North Shore’s largest snowmaking fleet, which means that with all this cold weather, the snow guns have been put to task creating blankets of fresh snow for eager skiers and riders.
Since last weekend’s first snowfall of the season, Grouse Mountain has been working hard with several days of steady snowmaking to race to become one of the first mountains to open in the lower mainland.

The 2014/15 winter season will be officially kicked off with the opening of Paradise Bowl and the Paradise Jib Park (rails and boxes) that will be open via the Greenway Chair from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm for skiing and riding at discounted pricing. If you’re a beginner, this is the perfect opportunity to start sharpening those skills before the real snow starts to fall.
With the Environment Canada forecast calling for continued cool temperatures and clear skies in the coming days, additional terrain is slated to open in the near future.
