DJ, producer, music consultant and artistic director Christian Pronovost – a.k.a. Lost Heroes – is a true Montréal icon who has been in the music business for over 30 years, from co-founding and owning the first record store for DJs in the city, Inbeat (1986 to 2010), to sharing a stage with everybody from Grace Jones to Frankie Knuckles.
“Montréal has so many great spots to offer for all different genres, styles and tastes,” says Pronovost. “When I play in Montréal I tend to be very specific with the type of events I do, focusing more on special occasions, collaboration and concept events over your typical trendy club night. But I must say that one of my current favourite spaces to play in the city as a DJ is DATCHA, a very cool, intimate yet edgy nightclub, where the crowd is fresh, young, excited and enthusiastic about the music. It a place where I can really be adventurous and feature the newest music mixed with some of my all-time faves. No requests!”
Pronovost’s special mentions are Le Salon Daomé, Stereo and Newspeak.
Christian Pronovost – a.k.a. Lost Heroes – will spin all-night at Auberge St Gabriel / Velvet’s New Year’s party on Dec. 31. Follow Lost Heroes on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
