Summer’s just starting at Montreaal Fashion Week!

Thought summer was over? Naw, it’s just beginning – at least in the fashion world. Welcome to Montreal Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014, where from September 3 to 6, 2013, you’ll get a taste of trends to come…

The festival promises to be stellar, because the organizers of Montreal Fashion Week are in a particularly celebratory mood: it’s their 25^th edition! And to mark the occasion, they’ve invited the participating fashion designers to present their runway shows without paying participation or production fees. It’s a first for a fashion event in Montreal, and it’s guaranteed to result in even more lavish and original runway experiences for the viewers.

Be at the gorgeous Arsenal space to rub shoulders with thousands of industry pros and fashion fans dressed to kill. Thre’s a hot list of 20 local designers who’ll be presenting their visions on the runway, including the voice of the next generation Pedram Karimi (on September 3 at 5:30 pm); high-class wearable sculptors UNTTLD (on September 3 at 9:30 pm); casual fun-chic makers Cocklush (on September 5 at 5:30 pm); royalty of Québec couture Helmer (on September 5 at 9:30 pm); and pretty prêt-à-porter artist Ève Gravel (on September 6 at 7:30 pm).

There are also unmissable cocktail hours, a runway show by the vintage emporium and OldWig (on September 5 at 3:30 pm) and a super fun fashion-forward flash mob planned for 9 pm on September 5, in Old Montreal – email promotions@sdcvieuxmontreal.com to participate!
