Vancouver Biennale Announces Bikennale/Walkennale Art Tours in Squamish, Vancouver and North Vancouver
Grab a friend and get ready to walk or hop on your bikes this weekend for a free semi-guided tour of the Vancouver Biennale public art installations in Vancouver, North Vancouver and Squamish.
The Squamish tour, which is estimated to be about a 25-35 minute tour on foot or a 10-15 minute tour by bike, will begin with the Salish Sea Lab installation at the Squamish Adventure Centre and include Public Furniture/ Urban Trees at Cleveland Avenue and Buckley, the untitled Vik Muniz installation at Victoria Street and Loggers Lane, the I Have A Dream community project at Vancouver Street and Second Avenue and the Breath Song at the south end of Cleveland Avenue.
The tours, which are accessible online, include photos, videos, artist bios and audio. Docents will also be stationed at the installations to provide additional information pertaining to each piece.
