Village MAMMOUTH: Massive Fun Awaits You at the Olympic Park
There’s something new at the Esplanade Financière Sun Life. From December 19th to March 6th, Village MAMMOUTH is the new heavyweight at the Olympic Park. Winter gets serious with fun surprises like a NHL-size refrigerated ice rink and an insane family slide that extends 23 metres from its 6 metre summit. Look out below!
Whether you’re a beginner on skates or a practically a pro, you can enjoy the skating rink Thursdays through Sundays for $3 per day (skate and helmet rentals extra). Certain hours will be dedicated to free skating and other time slots will be reserved for hockey. The family slide is open all day and also costs $3 for kids and those who are still kids inside. If you plan on going to the Village often, consider a DUO Mammouth season’s pass ($25.22 + tax). For complete information about schedules, rates and special deals, check out the Village MAMMOUTH website (in French only).
With your typically Québécois winter spirit, this frosty paradise is open to families free of charge Thursday through Sunday and offers a wide range of services. For instance, stop for a bite with the kids at L’Expédition, a cabin-style restaurant that specializes in soups and grilled cheese sandwiches. Finish your meal with a steaming waffle from La gaufre.be. After all, sweet treats are the perfect way to recharge your batteries! To see what Village MAMMOUTH is all about, come out to the grand opening on December 19th. From 1 p.m. onward, there will be a steady stream of surprises and special activities on the agenda!
On weekends, Village MAMMOUTH gets down with DJs and a festive atmosphere. On Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., enjoy a cool winter cocktail at Le Brise-Glace, a bar that features heated areas and even a dance floor. Hot times are guaranteed until 2 a.m.! See all Village events here.
The Esplanade Financière Sun Life will also be hosting several events this winter. There’s the Barbegazi extreme sports event on March 5 and 6, 2016, and NUIT BLANCHE at the Olympic Park on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Finally, there’s the Montréal Joue gaming festival on February 20 and 21, 2016. That’s a well-balanced serving of adrenaline, culture and entertainment that should put a smile on just about anyone’s face.
Enjoy the experience!
