Starting tonight, the Richmond Night Market will be opening its gates for the summer season to bring us food, cheap socks, and entertainment during Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from May until October.

But, what’s more exciting is that the biggest night market in North America is getting even bigger for 2016 with the launch of an exciting new kid-friendly dinosaur exhibit as well as hundreds more food vendors to satisfy all your cravings.

This year, the Richmond Night Market will be transforming into the Magical Dino Park, home to 18 dinosaurs that move, roar, and take you on a prehistoric adventure you won’t find anywhere else.

With the success of Jurassic World last year, it’s the perfect time to get up close and personal with some lifelike (but animatronic – don’t worry) dinosaurs. While there will be big beasts to ogle at, there will also be a baby dinosaurs area in the Kid’s zone. Always wanted to take a selfie with a dinosaur? Now’s your chance!

You can check out the full range of special prehistoric guests on the Richmond Night Market website, looks to be a killer lineup.

So what else is new?

There are quite a few exciting additions to the 2016 Richmond Night Market including a newly expanded games area, where you can try your luck and show off your skill at popular carnival games, and win yourself, or a certain someone some cuddly stuffed animals. There will also be small rides for kids including helicopters, a spinning octopus, a Ferris wheel, and an obstacle course.

But we all know that one of the main reasons to head to the night market is the food, and this year the international food fair will be expanding to over one hundred vendors with well over 500 food items from all over the world! So whether you’re after hurricane potatoes, deep fried octopus balls, or a whole fried fish – the night market has you covered. Think you can make it a mission to try all the food available this summer? That could make for a very interesting bucket list!

Remember: you want to arrive on an empty stomach. Don’t make the mistake of eating before you head to the market!
