For many, this weekend marks the first weekend of Spring Break for kids across BC and other locations. This nicely coincides with the festive celebrations in Vancouver for St. Patrick’s Day, held this Sunday, March 17th.

If you’re in the mood for some shenanigans to kick off spring break with that don’t just involve drinking green beer, there are plenty of fun activities around town that are kid-friendly.

St. Patrick’s Day Family Celebration

Location: St. James Community Square, 3214 West 10th Avenue, Vancouver
Date: Sunday, March 17, 2019 from 1:30pm – 4:30pm
Admission: Free entry

Part of Celtic Fest Vancouver, this family celebration includes live music, arts and crafts, fun sporting activities, and face painting.

Blarney Stone All Ages St Patricks Day Festival

Location: 216 Carrall Street
Date/Time: March 17 from 1oam – 5pm
Admission: $35

If you’ve got kids in tow, but still want to enjoy in some libations, the Blarney Stone is hosting its annual all ages St. Patrick’s Day festival. Minors are allowed before 5pm with an adult guardian to enjoy live music, Celtic dancers, DJs, stilt walkers, and plenty more entertainment.

Get a little spring in your step at the annual 5K St. Patrick’s Day run! Join other revellers of all ages for a flat and fast 5k in scenic Stanley Park. The run supports Diabetes Canada and is one of the most fun 5Ks in the city!
