Counting Down As The Snow Piles Up At Whistler Blackcomb

We’ve seen the snowline creeping down Whistler Blackcomb and so far Mother Nature has been doing a decent job getting things done. What you might not know is that in the alpine Whistler Blackcomb’s snowmaking crews are having a banger snow making season so far. Colder than usual temperatures have allowed them to make snow 24 hours a day for the last week, resulting in them pumping more than 20 gallons of water into snow already.

Manmade snow helps to create a consistent and solid base layer for the natural stuff and it will ensure opening day, whether it is the “Official Opening Day” of November 22 or sometime before that, is awesome all around!
