Eat up at the Montréal Vegan Festival!

Ready your appetites: November 5 and 6 mark the third and biggest-yet edition of the Montréal Vegan Festival, in the heart of Old Montréal, at the beautiful and historic Bonsecours Market. There’ll be over 40 exhibitors this year in this event that keeps on growing, with a ton of goodies to sample plus lots of opportunities to learn about the benefits of upping the plant-based quota in your diet.

Aside from the exhibitors, there are conferences, thematic workshops, cooking demonstrations and a new and improved library section packed with over 150 different titles to discover. Come on down to get your books signed on-site by authors like Élise Desaulniers (Cash Cow), Jo-Anne McArthur (We Animals), and many more.

Other incredible special guests include the man whose studies led to the creation of the glycemic index, Dr. David Jenkins, as well as Seba Johnson (the youngest ever alpine ski racer in Olympic history), Jo-Anne McArthur (photojournalist, author and educator), hockey legend and animal rights activist Georges Laraque, and Alister Gardner, mountain running champion and ultramarathon runner. Do you get the sense vegans are high achievers?

Don’t miss the festival appetizer on November 4: a special screening of Jo-Anne McArthur’s stunning documentary Ghosts in Our Machine, at Bonsecours Market at 7 pm. Entry is free and the screening will be followed by a QA with the filmmaker. See you there!
