Italian buffet, fireworks and craft beer – take a cruise in Vancouver this summer

Ahoy ye landlubbers! If you haven’t been out on the water yet this summer, there’s still plenty of opportunity. From live music and Italian buffet to the fireworks to local craft beer, there’s plenty happening on Vancouver cruise ships this summer. Here are a few choices.

Federico’s Summer Night Cruise (July 24) – View the sights of Indian Arm aboard the M.V. Magic Spirit, along with an Italian buffet dinner and dancing with live music featuring Federico Fuoco and Fire. For tickets ($75) and info call Federico’s Supper Club at 604-251-3473.

Celebration of Lights (July 23, 27 and 30) – Watch Vancouver’s famous annual fireworks competition from a prime spot in English Bay. On July 30, Magic Yacht Charters is offering dinner and live entertainment along with a cruise for $135 (at magicyachtcharters.com or call 778-322-3085). Harbour Cruises and Events‘ cruise also includes dinner, for $125. July 23 and 30 are sold-out but, as of this writing, tickets were still available for July 27 at 604-688-7246 or tours@boatcruises.com.

Vancouver Craft Brew Cruise (Aug 19 at 7 p.m. 20 at 2 and 7 p.m.) – Magic Yacht Charters’ The Magic Spirit is the scene of the Vancouver Craft Beer Cruise. The $50 ticket gets you a three-hour tour around the harbourfront, a commemorative mug, and sample tokens that can be used at the participating breweries (additional tokens are $1 each).
