If you’ve never heard of Le Burger Week, here’s everything you need to know.

Thirty restaurants around Montréal create a signature burger for a week that reflects the cuisine and concept of the restaurant. Their burgers will be offered at a discounted “burger price”, an incentive for burger lovers to visit as many restaurants as possible during the festival.

Diners will be asked to vote on their favourite burgers at www.leburgerweek.com where awards will be given out in the following categories at the end of the week: the “Burger of The Year”, the “Judge’s Choice”, the “Creative Award”, “ the “Tallest Burger” and the “Healthiest Burger”.

Debuting in 2012, Le Burger Week has grown impressively over the past four years, from 30 local (Montréal) restaurants and 10,000 participants to a festival spanning eight cities with over 225 participating restaurants uniting over 100,000 burger lovers!

Le_Burger_WeekThis year, Le Burger Week has partnered with Budweiser to present “Bud and Burgers”, where select participating restaurants offer a brew to compliment their burger, all at a special price. ACE Bakery buns will also be featured at select restaurants.

Another highlight of this year’s Le Burger Week is Just Eat’s “Bring Le Burger Week Home Day!” On September 4, Just-Eat.ca will be offering select participating Le Burger Week burger delivery, where users receive a 20% discount on their orders.

Founded by two local burger lovers and entrepreneurs Na’eem Adam and Thierry Rassam, Le Burger Week was created as a fun, food-focused festival that encourages local businesses.

“Our model encourages people to experience new places and visit different parts of the city. Our mission is to stimulate businesses in cities based on a fun and adventurous idea, and to find the truly best burgers in each city with the help of burger lovers everywhere,” co-founder Na’eem Adam explains. “Every participating restaurant has greatly benefited from our festival.”
