More Bang for your Buck: Dine in Whistler Begins

What can $21 get you these days?
In Whistler, quite a bit. On Amazon.ca you can pick up the last remaining Whistler: the Soundtrack compilation CD for $20.87 (Never heard of it? Me neither, but it contains an “eclectic mix” of songs from the short-lived CTV series Whistler. All the tracks are by Canadian Artists at least).
Or, hipsters will be happy to know $21 will get you a 15-pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon beers ($20.49) at the Whistler Village Liquor Store, or 5 bars of tasty organic Whistler Chocolate ($3.99 each) at The Grocery Store next door. Whistler Hardware is selling a sweet Freestyle Frisbee ($20.99) that will deliver hours of summer fun and just down the stroll at TMC Freeriderz you can take home the Rolling Stones “Some Girls” album on vinyl ($20.99).
All pretty good options but Whistler’s best bang for 21 bucks are the $21 menus being offered by some of the resort’s most popular eateries as part of Dine in Whistler 2013.
For two weeks every spring top Whistler restaurants dish up exceptional value on the same incredible food that’s cemented the resort’s reputation as a foodie’s paradise. Each establishment offers either $21, $31 or $41 multi-course menus for Spring and there are no shortage of diverse and deee-licious options.
From Alberta Elk Tartar to BBQ’d BC Salmon Skin Salad to Shepherds Pie to Filet Mignon to Crisp Parmesan Polenta to Belgian Chocolate Bourbon Cake and more. One thing is certain, with mouth-watering dishes at prices like this Dine in Whistler is perfect for impromptu date nights, girls’ nights out, or “please forgive me I won’t do that again” dinners with your loved one.
Regardless of why you go, for the first 16 days of May 2013 there’s no place on earth your tongue and stomach would rather be than right here in the mountains. Dine in Whistler just reinvented what you can do with a few tens and a Loonie.
