Mountain Mama: Profile of “Baby’s On The Go”

The last time our family went on a road trip, we literally brought everything. I almost lost the baby in all the stuff, which is why Whistler’s Baby’s On The Go is pure genius.

Owned and operated by Caronne Marino, Baby’s On The Go, will rent you almost anything baby-related from cribs to strollers to toy kitchens to bike trailers. They feature two Mountain Baby packages and can deliver and install the equipment at your accommodation before your arrival.

“We’ve been operating in Whistler since 1997 and we’re the busiest little business in town,” Marino said. “I left the corporate world and we were looking for something to subsidize our income.”

When the opportunity to purchase Baby’s On The Go came up, Marino jumped on it. Having two children at home, Marino is able to run a business and hang out with her kids.

“Whistler is so family oriented and the luggage is just insane with babies and toddlers. We help lighten the travel load,” Marino said.

Baby’s On The Go is a Whistler success story. After the busiest winter ever, Marino said the shoulder season is a nice break before the summer rush.

You can check out their website at babysonthego.com. Marino and her crew will even deliver and assemble items prior to arrival and pick them up after.

“We understand the difficulty of traveling with excess luggage and being away from baby’s own belongings. Imagine the ease of walking into to your vacation home to find everything you’ll need for your baby,” Marino said.

Whistler is an awesome spot. When I moved to Whistler, family literally came out of the woodwork to come for a visit. If you family has a few babies or kids, Baby’s On The Go offers locals’ discounts on everything you need.
