New Urban Golf Club (with 24 Simulated Courses) Opens in Downtown Vancouver

Ready to tee off in downtown Vancouver?
A unique new club and restaurant, located at 476 Granville St. in the city’s financial district, is giving golfers a chance to do just that.
The city’s first urban golf club, 5,000-square-foot One Under offers duffers an opportunity to hit the links in six state-of-the-art golf simulators. The simulators use high-speed cameras to measure critical club and ball data and create a precise reproduction of each stroke. Golfers can choose to play one of two dozen dream courses from around the world: from Pebble Beach and St. Andrews to Pinehurst and Banff Springs.

One Under is also an eatery and watering hole, with an upscale sports bar feel. The menu features a range of artisan pizzas – from spicy sausage and soppressata to roasted mushroom and kale – as well as fresh salads and soups. The drinks list highlights a wide range of scotch, as well as craft beers from Vancouver and beyond, with a full lineup of suds from Bomber Brewing.

But back to the golf: Simulators can be reserved for $50 per hour. (One “VIP Simulator” is $75 per hour.) It takes each participant approximately 45-60 minutes to play a full 18 holes of golf, since you don’t have to waste time looking for balls or shuttling from hole to hole. One Under provides the latest clubs and balls from Nike Golf in each simulator, so you can leave your golf bag at home.
In addition to playing full courses, golfers can choose from a range of other simulated activities. Practice your long drives, take part in a closest to the pin competition or feel the joy of hitting balls at old warehouse windows in the “breaking the glass” game.

One Under is located at 476 Granville Street (and Pender St.) in downtown Vancouver. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (midnight on Fridays and Saturdays; 10 p.m. on Sundays).
