Ride the sky on La Grande Roue de Montréal

See Montréal from an entirely new vantage point on La Grande Roue de Montréal, the highest observation wheel in Canada. A spectacular rival to the London Eye and the High Roller in Las Vegas, La Grande Roue starts spinning this June.

Designed specifically to enhance the city’s unique blend of urban style and historical architecture, the 60-metre-tall La Grande Roue de Montréal sits alongside the majestic Saint-Lawrence River and Old Port of Montréal boardwalk, just steps away from the cobblestone streets of Old Montréal.

Operating year round in all kinds of weather, night and day, La Grande Roue features 42 temperature-controlled gondolas, each comfortably seating eight people and with a view that stretches 28 kilometres in all directions (VIP cabins offer a glass floor for the fearless). From such great heights, you’ll see all of Old Montréal, downtown’s church steeples set among skyscrapers, the gorgeous greenery of Mont Royal, the Olympic Stadium’s tower, and dozens of Montréal’s quaint and bustling neighbourhoods.

Each La Grande Roue ride takes 15 minutes, going through three revolutions of the wheel before passengers disembark at the wheel base’s signature bistro and bar.
