Solar Glades – Ski & Snowboard Guide To Whistler Blackcomb

Whistler Blackcomb, solar coaster, tree skiing, whistler, blackcomb, powder, ski, snowboard, advanced ski and snowboard guide, ski and snowboard guide, brian finestone, kevin hodder

The storms that give us the goods can often push us out of the alpine, reducing the ski area by a few thousand acres. On these stormy days, don’t despair, there is plenty of good terrain in the “Solar” zone to provide some epic turns. Stretching all along 7th Ave and Expressway are natural and man-made glades offering up steep fall line tree skiing, all of which end at Sunset Bvd. Return to Solar and repeat until your legs quiver.

The tips in this column and the contents of the guidebook are intended to be used by expert skiers and snowboarders only. The terrain described is dangerous and requires a high level of expertise to negotiate.

The second version of the Ski and Snowboard Guide to Whistler Blackcomb is a 184-page, full-color guidebook to the advanced and expert terrain on the mountains. Consider it an aerial photo-based version of the trail map. It’s designed to allow expert skiers to access the goods! Look for it at the best retailers in Whistler including Armchair Books in Village Square.
