Vancouver Bartenders Get Creative During Negroni Week

Tuc Craft Kitchen

With spring/summer cocktail sipping well underway, now is the perfect time to laud (and drink) the classic Negroni. The Italian cocktail, traditionally composed of equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and Campari, has a simplicity and refreshing quality that’s hard to beat.

From June 4-10, 2018, Vancouver bartenders across the city will be taking part in Negroni Week. They’re inviting the public to try their delicious and innovative creations, with partial proceeds going to the charity of their choice.

Negroni Week began in 2013 as an initiative of Campari and Imbibe Magazine. Originally starting with only 120 venues, the campaign has grown to over 7,700 global venues, all devoted to celebrating the iconic cocktail. During the Week, participating restaurants and bars serve classic and reinvented negronis, choosing from official charity selections for fundraising.

Currently, 79 venues in the Lower Mainland are taking part, offering a wealth of different negronis and charities to choose from.
