#WhistlerUnfiltered

A picture may be worth a thousand words but sometimes that just ain’t enough. Periodically throughout the winter The Whistler Insider will select an image from the #WhistlerUnfiltered archives and dig a little deeper to find the story behind the photo (and the thousand words).
This week we’re talking to Deminica, a born-and-raised Whistler ripper, about this quintessential Whistler “Boots Off” shot.
This shot was taken at Dusty’s Creekside right after skiing non-stop Peak to Creekside via Big Timber.
Beer tastes better with friends and Après is all about reliving a good day.
The best Après food is Ghost Wings and potato wedges at Dusty’s. The Ghost Wings are super super super hot and the servers warn you before you order them, no send-backs! and a patio seat in the sun is the best seat in the house.
A good Après session can last all night and it’s advisable to bring your dancing shoes in case it does.
I get up skiing lots of days a year and my favourite thing about Whistler is endless runs.
Everyone should try a new run everyday because you will always find a new favourite.
The best thing about taking off the boots at the end of the day is going to sleep with dreams of tomorrow’s skiing (and tomorrow’s Après!)
Thanks Deminica. Make sure to enter the #WhistlerUnfiltered Contest for a chance at winning a fantastic one-week Whistler vacation for you and three friends. Contest entries must be in before April 1, 2013.
