Do you find yourself gazing longingly at the North Shore Mountains looking for that first dusting of snow? With temperatures dropping and heavy rain in the forecast it is that time of year when the annual snow watch begins. With each flake of snow we inch closer and closer to hitting the slopes. How incredible to live in a city where you can cycle, paddle and snowboard all in the same day!

I have a confession to make. I am a prairie girl by birth and my love for snow runs deep. I vividly remember my first snow day on the North Shore Mountains. It was surreal to me that I could leave the bustling city far below and within minutes be downhill skiing. The panoramic views from the ski hills of cityscapes, the Pacific Ocean and the Gulf Islands is a Vancouver experience second to none. Over the years, I have enjoyed countless hours on the slopes and trails and the experience continues to take my breath away.
