Around-the-Clock Activities Return to Grouse Mountain for 24 Hours of Winter

Ever wanted to ski down a mountain with the sunrise? This Saturday, March 23rd through Sunday, March 24th, you can see the sunset and the sunrise during Grouse Mountain’s annual 24 Hours of Winter event.

The event runs through Spring Break in Vancouver, so if you have some kids with lots of energy to burn, this is the perfect activity! During the event, the mountain will remain open for 24 consecutive hours of winter activities on the slopes at the Peak of Vancouver.

Celebrations for the 24 Hours of Winter kick off at 8:30 am on Saturday, March 23rd and run through until 10:00 pm on Sunday, March 24th with a variety of special activities including all-night skiing, snowboarding and ice skating; midnight and sunrise snowshoe tours; a spectacular torch parade; special après celebration; yoga and much more.

A complimentary shuttle will be available from 12am to 7am on March 24th between Grouse Mountain and key North Vancouver locations.

Aside from the excellent snowboarding and skiing, there will be a series of events during the day and night to keep you entertained and awake all day and all night!

Other activities will include:

Office Boys – Coffee and Donuts Slalom (Saturday: 10:30am – 4pm) Snowboarders will be testing their skills on a banked slalom course to win some prizes! REGISTRATION IS FULL But, spectators are encouraged!

Snow Cave Fondue Tour (Saturday: 1pm – 3pm, 4pm – 6pm 7:30pm – 9:30pm) The tour will include an easy 2 km snowshoe tour through a snow-covered forest trail and the stunning Light Walk. It will then continue to a lookout of Vancouver before returning to a snow cave with chocolate fondue and hot apple cider. Snow caves are pre-build for your enjoyment. Rates apply. Pre-registration is required.

Torch Parade (Saturday: 9pm): The slopes will be aglow with enthusiastic skiers carving their way down the mountain. Best views from the Peak Flats, Lower Peak and out front of the Chalet.

Complimentary Sunrise Snowshoe Tour (Sunday: 6:30am – 7:30am): Join a 1-hour, guided sunrise snowshoe tour. Complimentary with admission. Snowshoes not included.

Wake ‘n Shake Yoga (Sunday: 10am – 11am, Timber Room) Join a high energy Wake n’ Shake yoga class overlooking the mountains and city. Expect a fun and energetic class suitable for all levels! Whether you’re a first timer or experienced downward dog-er it’s the perfect way to start your Sunday.
