Artist Workshop– Exploring Clay with Suzan Marczak

Day 1 – Wednesday 17th: Beginners Wheel and hand building
This workshop is for those new to clay. We will learn how to wedge and centre clay, making a small handled mug. In the afternoon we will work with slab and coil construction, building a saucer for your mug, and experimenting with other functional forms.
Day 2 – Thursday 18th: Intermediate, wheel and beyond
This workshop is for those with some experience with clay. We will alter wheel thrown items, adding hand built elements and using slab and mold construction to add interest to the forms.
Cost: $65/day
