Chocolate fondue at H Tasting Lounge

If you’re like many of us, you may have left Valentine’s Day
planning to the last minute (oops). However, there’s still hope as restaurants
across the city are offering sumptuous menus that are bound to cook up some
romance between you and your date.

Here are some suggestions for where to go for a romantic meal on February 14, 2019:

At the time of writing this article, the following restaurants still had availability but don’t delay since seatings are quickly filling up.

Cibo Trattoria

Executive Chef Curtis Luk at Cibo Trattoria has dreamed up the ultimate Valentine’s Day menu. It’s available à la carte, or $68 for the four course menu option. It begins with a salad of roasted beets, orange, pine nuts, baby arugula, and fontina ($15); next, is tagliolini with scampi, lemon, basil, and stracciatella ($22); the main is grilled rack of lamb with pistachio, and rapini salsa verde ($35); and to finish, there are crêpes with gianduja and coffee mascarpone ($10).

Rocky Mountain Flatbread

A super affordable Valentine’s Day option ($30 per person, plus tax and gratuity) can be found at Rocky Mountain Flatbread. The three-course menu will be paired with chocolate pairings from Koko Monk Chocolates. The night’s meal begins with a choice between house made soup, mushroom caps, or a salad (fig and goat cheese, basil, and blackberry or a fresh herb salad). It’s paired with a Brunette Bangle chocolate (curry and coconut infused). Next up is any handcrafted traditional flatbread pizza or any featured organic pasta. This comes with a First Kiss (sour cherry and raspberry infused) chocolate. Finally, you’ll end the evening with a choice between a warm chocolate brownie, vegan apple cinnamon crumble, or baked cheesecake with gluten free toasted coconut crust. If you can’t find a sitter, kids can dine for $13.50, plus tax and gratuity (with their own Hershey kiss paired meal).
