Whistler Arts Council Presents: Basic SLR Photography Workshop by Jeff Boyce

Local action sports and lifestyle photographer Jeff Boyce is offering a workshop this spring through the Whistler Arts Council that covers camera functions focusing on the relationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Composition, basic flash techniques, digital editing, printing, organizational behaviour and photo techniques like panning and blurring will also be covered. Three in-field assignments will round off the two day workshop, finishing with a peer to peer critique session.

A graduate of Loyalist College Photojournalism program, Boyce’s services have been commissioned by the Vancouver Sun, Whistler-Blackcomb, The National Post, SBCSkier.com to list a few. Currently in his fifth semester instructing the FIN723 Photojournalism course at North Island College, Boyce is eager to share his experiences and knowledge with fellow Whistler local amateur and emerging photographers. Calling Whistler home for the past 10 years Boyce has a true passion for the outdoors and capturing it in a still image.
